Veramae Robinson, 95, of Evansville, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2015, at Evansville Protestant Home. She was born December 23, 1919, in Evansville, to the late Joe and Agnes (Weiss) Lantz.

She was a member of Bethel United Church of Christ, where she had been confirmed in 1933. She graduated from Bosse High School in 1938 and from Bramwell Business College in Evansville. After the attack on Pearl Harbor, Veramae took the Civil Service Test and began working for Wright Patterson Air Force Base. She had also formerly been employed by Kay Jewelers. She...

Veramae Robinson, 95, of Evansville, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2015, at Evansville Protestant Home. She was born December 23, 1919, in Evansville, to the late Joe and Agnes (Weiss) Lantz.

She was a member of Bethel United Church of Christ, where she had been confirmed in 1933. She graduated from Bosse High School in 1938 and from Bramwell Business College in Evansville. After the attack on Pearl Harbor, Veramae took the Civil Service Test and began working for Wright Patterson Air Force Base. She had also formerly been employed by Kay Jewelers. She enjoyed watching golf on TV and going to the horse races.

Veramae was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Robinson; parents; and brothers, Joe and George Lantz.

She is survived by her son, Wayne (Mary) Robinson; and granddaughter, Rachel Robinson.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Monday, March 30, 2015, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Rev. Joe Schulte, with burial in Park Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit Monday from 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
