Ida Belle Green, 85, of Evansville, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2016, at her home. She was born June 3, 1931, in Beech Creek, KY to the late Dan and Leotha (Bradley) Hughes.

Belle was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Outside her family, she committed her life to serving God through her church. She taught Sunday school for over 40 years, was a longtime member of Willow Road Baptist Church, and also an active member of First Southern Baptist Church. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband.

Belle was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Outside her family, she committed her life to serving God through her church. Belle was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Robert Green; granddaughter, Rachel Ann Green; brothers, George, Jim (Betty), and Dan Hughes; sister, Sue (Henry) Hughes Yonts; and brother-in-law, Joe Gorham.

She is survived by her sons, Dan (Cathy), Bruce, and Gary (Sally) Green; grandchildren, Marcus and Matthew Green, Katie (Carey) Bockting; and Benjamin (Morgan) and Sarah Green; great-granddaughter, Emilia Bockting; brothers, Marion D. (Ruthie) and Tom (Diane) Hughes; sisters, Betty (Harold) Stubblefield and Mary Lou Gorham; and sisters-in-law, Harriet and Francis Hughes.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, December 3, 2016, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Rev. David Cullison and Rev. Steve Gorham, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit Friday from 2:00 to 8:00 PM and Saturday from 12:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.
